Part two, Sean, of this show, is the no one of this show is the notion that the SEC is the best league in college football.

And this conversation sparked in my head when the SEC released a packet last week to the media.

Looking at the last 10 years and how the

mestrics of this computer model and that computer model and this that and the other thing

all showed the SEC is the best league and my answer to that is who freaking cares because

what you were in the past does not dictate that whether or not you are or not the best team in a

given year. And that's the frustration I have with strength to schedule metrics. That's the problem

I have with computer models is they all assume that past success equals present value.

And that is incorrect. And so what we're going to discuss is whether or not the SEC was the best

conference in 2024 and whether or not they will be the best conference in 2025.

So we'll begin by looking at it, Sean, and I did not give you criteria for what the best

conference is because I want you to tell me give you criteria for what the best conference is,

because I want you to tell me what your criteria is and who you think is based on that.

And I'll tell you what my criteria is and who the best was based on that and why that matters moving forward.

So, Sean, let's begin first and foremost.

We're talking about who was the best league in college football last year,

best conference. The one thing you and I agree on is the two, I think, is the two best leagues

were the Big Ten in the SEC or SEC and Big Ten in some order. Now, I think the eight,

the big 12 is a little disrespect for how good the league is, top to bottom, but it's not on the same level

as those first two. So that's what we're discussing here, is which of those two leagues was

the best league and college football last year? So first, as we discuss this, Sean, I want to

first hear from you, what is your criteria for how you define a league as being the best? And we're talking about from start of the season to the end of the season, what is your criteria for how you define a league as being the best?
