On today's college football inquire, it's the Big Ten in the SEC versus all of Congress, it seems like. Plus, Notre Dame AD Pete Vivacqua doesn't want a Super League, but he did tell us what it would look like. The schedule he named sounds kind of amazing. Also, Texas versus Texas Tech, Steve Sarkeesian versus Joey McGuire, who will win the War of Words because they're probably not going to play a game.

But Texas Tech might schedule a pretty good game later anyway.

Ross, who was at the hearing in the Senate Commerce Committee on Wednesday, where basically,

I don't know, it appears the entirety of the U.S. government is now taking aim at the Big Ten

and the SEC, or at least that's how it felt, listening to Ted Cruz and Maria

Cantwell talk about the bipartisan bill that they've introduced that, oh, by the way, the SEC

in the Big Ten paid a lot of money to lobby for. Ross, how surprised were you at how openly

antagonistic these guys were toward the two biggest leagues.

Some of the comments were pretty jarring at how sort of directly the senators spoke to the

SEC and Big Ten, not just during the hearing, but probably mostly after the hearing.

You know, the hearing is, even though I live in D.C., the hearing is streamed.

I could have just watched right from the stream, but I went down to the Capitol because

usually after the hearing, you get a lot of good stuff.

It's often a good time to talk to people.

And they were, you know, they were pretty, I guess they had some pretty biting comments

during the hearing.

But after the hearing, I mean, Ted Cruz and Marie Cantwell were even more sort of

directly firing at the SEC in Big Ten. And it came, you know, about 24 hours after the SEC
