This 12-game stretch for the Mets gets off to a very, very good start last night.

It was a Lindor night. His wife plays the violin with the national anthem. Francisco Lindor is wearing Roberto Clemente's number. He hits a home run. Mullins

hits a home run. Bayney hits a home run. Alonzo hits a home run and the combination of Clay Holmes and

Sean Mania actually get the job done.

The Yankees hang on after having a 10-1 lead.

But now the first round matchup as it sits today, you know we always love if the season ended today.

The Yankees would be playing the Astros in the first round and the Mets would be playing the Dodgers and right now

the way these two seasons have gone you sign for that no matter what I don't care the opponent is

jim don't all right and the thing about the Yankees said that's amazing to me is that you wake up

and there was the time I think it was like six or seven days ago. They were right there with the Toronto Blue Jays. There were two games behind. And you look up, but right now they're five games behind and that's why they would end up playing the Houston Astros. If in fact the season did end today, it's amazing how fast that just happened to them. And last night, man, they were holding on, man.

They had a 10-1 lead, and I flipped over. I'm like, I'm not going to watch this. This is done. Next day, I know, I get an alert. Bang, bang, bang. And all of a sudden, the Yankees are hanging on by a thread. And then, of course, you know, you just went over what the Mets did yesterday. And they did do their pitching situation with Clay Holmes and Sean Mania.

And both players seem to be very happy with the outcome of the game and the way that it went.

But again, you know, that's not really what you want from your starting pitching.

You want your starting pitchers to go six to seven innings, not to have to split the game four and five

innings. Yeah, you don't want it, but if it works, that's great because these guys, of course,
