I think it has something to do with the fact that you and I like challenges.

And in this particular course, we're taking on the challenge of interpreting the Apostles' Creed,

one of the oldest and most cited, C-I-T-E-D,

most cited creeds in Christianity. It's a creed that has some lines that you and I are not

quite sure we want to affirm, but we're trying our best. And what makes it particularly interesting is you and I come from an open and relational theological perspective.

And that perspective has many forms.

But it does have a particular way of thinking about issues like God's power, God's love, who Jesus was,

the kinds of things that the creeds either talk about or don't talk about and make us angry because they overlooked them.
