and it's the aftermath of Drake May's first start.

Surprisingly good. Or maybe not surprisingly because I said I think that he'll play better than people think.

He played even better than I thought people would think.

Even better than I thought they would think.

I had him down for like 9, for 20, for 160 yards.

It was much, much better than that.

We're going to bring in Phil Perry in a minute.

And at the end of this podcast, we're going to tack on our conversation with Bill O'Brien, Patriots,

former offensive coordinator, former Houston Texans head coach, current head coach at BC.

We talked to him on pregame live and he was excellent on some of the things that he would do with developing Drake May.

But first, here's Gerard Mayo after the game talking about Drake May and the performance,

and then a little bit from Drake May about how he felt his first start went.

I thought he showed a lot of boys.

I thought he went out there and controlled the huddle, got those guys out of the huddle,

and once again made some plays.

And it's definitely encouraging.

You know, from a team-wide perspective right now, we're just, we're kind of, we let them down.

You know, it was his first game, and I feel like we let everyone down and it's got to be better. Amped at the start for sure.

I think, you know, the biggest thing is having those guys around me, you know, they're great, you know, pumping me up.

Coaches, defense, you know, the guys around me were great trying to settle me down.

And Jacoby was a big part of that.
