But my name is Patrick Darty. I am joined today by Mr. Denny Carter. We'll be taking a spin through all the weeks biggest headlines, including David Montgomery's knee injury. Urban Myers ill-fated trip home to Ohio and Ben Rathosburgers continued to sent into madness.

After what happened on Monday night football last night and Darren Waller spiking the football after his big catch in the first half.

The refs need to be commended. They kept the game in control. They penalized Darren Waller 15 yards. That hasn't changed my kids saw.

My daughter couldn't even go to kindergarten today. She was so shaken by the taunting and I just want to make sure you and your family are okay.

I mean it's one of those things where you don't really know how to explain it to your kids. No one prepares you as a parent for having to explain why Darren Waller.

So let's kind of spike the ball, maybe kind of set it down mostly on the sideline.

Funniest thing about that is that the Chargers defenders didn't even notice.

There were two guys who kind of escorted Waller out of bounds. He did the thing and they walked away, you know, completely unaware of what happened.

My wife was watching the game with me and she saw what happened. She saw the flag. She goes, what's the flag for? I said for taunting.

You didn't see what he did. There was no taunting. He just spiked the ball after the play. I thought it was because Darren Waller seemed to have turned his ankle.

I thought he was aggravated mad about injuring himself. I couldn't even tell if he was happy or furious about it. It was the most ludicrous call.

No, and just like we're preaching to the choir. I'm assuming here on our podcast, but I just don't know what.

What is the purpose of this? Like who does this serve?

Is anyone watching the football game and wanting for 15 yards of offense to be removed?

Because some guy spiked a football in a football game.

Right. Now if a guy spikes the ball in a dude's face.

Yeah, I mean, that's untoward. That's untoward.

I can see there being an argument for saying, no, you can't do that. That's a penalty. You're going back 15 yards. I kind of get that.

I think that's justifiable at least, right? But you know robot, I'm sorry, robots, refs shouldn't act like robots. Like you can, you know, exercise some subjectivity in the way that you call these taunting penalties.
