First up, the Congressional Budget Office projected that Trump's Big Beautiful Bill™ will lead to $3.7 trillion in lost revenue and a $2.4 trillion increase in the deficit. So, naturally, we ask: Where did all the GOP budget hawks go? Oh right, they’re busy pretending math doesn’t exist.

Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene added her name to the growing list of GOP representatives who didn’t read the spending bill before voting on it. You’d think reading a bill before passing it would be basic governance, but apparently, it’s just another pesky suggestion—like ethics and facts.

Then, Trump decided that the tariffs on steel and aluminum imports weren’t punishing enough, so he’s doubling down—literally. The rates from March? More than doubled. Because why just disrupt trade when you can obliterate it?

And in yet another attack on reproductive rights, the Trump administration revoked federal guidance requiring hospitals to provide emergency abortions to stabilize patients in life-threatening conditions. Because apparently, medical ethics now depend on political talking points.

Finally, Trump signed a travel ban targeting 12 countries with no demonstrable risk to U.S. security—other than the inconvenient fact that they contain too many Black people and Muslims for his liking. Which, shockingly, is not a valid national security concern.
