But where I want to start, because a lot of you emailed me about this, is ESPN.

And what the heck's going on?

It's one of two things as far as I can tell.

Either they can make a fortune by selling playoff games or they've got budget issues

and they overpaid for the college football playoff.

And now ESPN is potentially trying to recoup some of that money.

It's one of those two things that's going on here.

So this came out on Monday

because the college football playoff announced its dates, its kickoff times, and broadcast

information for the upcoming college football playoff. And remember, the college football

playoff and ESPN agreed to a deal through 2031-22 back in March of 24.

So we're going into the third year of this deal since it was renegotiated two and a half years ago.

And at the time, it was the playoff and ESPN agreed to a new six-year $7.8 billion contract to ensure the network remains the sole media
