So the first team I'm buying this week, and I think it's a pretty obvious one to buy, is Texas Tech.

Those Red Raiders right now, after losing a first team All-American, have won three

straight games. They went to Hilden Coliseum on Saturday, and they beat Iowa State, which

nobody's done at home this season. That was as impressive a performance as it gets.

And you know what?

I love the fact that this team is using, I don't want to say the hate because it's not hate.

It's just in many respects, people, whether it's myself, whether it's Jeff Goodman,

whether it's, now Jeff Goodman, I'll get to here in a second.

But no matter what, they're using this J.T. Toppin loss as a chip on their shoulder. Everybody's counting them out. Now, Jeff Goodman, of course, said recently that he thought tech fell to a 10 seed. Now, not that they would, but he thought this was a 10 seed team without

J.T. Toppin. And everybody is now talking about it. And by the way, that criticism of Jeff Goodman,

who's really good at his job, is entirely fair. Maybe it's a six seed team. Maybe you can make

that case a couple of weeks back. but now they've won three straight.

They beat Iowa State on their home court, and you've got really a well-rounded effort

picking up the slack for J.T. Topin. You have guys like Donovan Atwell showing up with

18 points on Saturday. It's just a very balanced attack. Texas Tech had five guys in double figure
