We'll get to that, Matthew. But first, we have to get to the floor. We were both there at the quarterfinals.

It's clear that the floor, the glass floor of the Big 12 was using, overshadowed the tournament.

I give Brett Yourmark a lot of credit because we're in an era where no one wants to admit they're

wrong. In business and media and sports and politics, it's cool to not be wrong or not admit you're wrong

your mark had this full body of work and he said you know what i got the best product in america

it's being overshadowed by this floor we're going to in the middle of the tournament remove it

and go back to hardwood i give them a lot of credit for doing it. What's your reaction been?

I think it was the right thing to do.

And I think he was definitely nudged in that direction by what happened on Thursday.

I think a couple of things happened.

Obviously, I think the Texas Tech game with Iowa State was a turning point because, you know,

Christian Anderson clearly hurt his groin making a move on the floor and his foot slipped and that caused what I

think will end up being a minor injury. Luan Watts also got hurt. It wasn't clear if the floor caused

it or if he stepped on somebody's foot. He said he wasn't sure. But between those two pieces of data and

Grant McHaslin's very diplomatic answer to the court saying it was a challenging experience for his

players, I think that was sort of when the worm turned, so to speak. And the league really had to

start thinking about doing something.

One of the things I wrote in the piece that I wrote this morning was, you know,

when players and coaches like him are diplomatic in public, but you can still sense the

frustration, it usually means there's more frustration behind the scenes.
