We go through this cycle over and over again. There's a mass shooting and immediately there's an effort to try to use this to try to exploit the crisis for political points.

I can't tell you how many people I had already just in my own world of social media and trying to share thoughts and opinions.

I was referring to Governor Christie Nome's transgender Bill in South Dakota and I had all these comments about how why won't you talk about the quote Trump supporter and quote they would say who just engaged in a mass shooting.

The white supremacist Trump supporter that engaged in a mass shooting, there was no evidence whatsoever to support that that was what happened.

There was none when this was being said last night and yet they went with it anyway.

They decided that it was too useful in this moment of heightened emotions and sense of crisis to bash political opponents who weren't even talking necessarily about this awful incident.

This is what you see people that leverage the internet for their own power that use social media as a weapon and unfortunately the social media companies themselves are increasingly a political weapon.

They use this to silence those ideas, those groups, those individuals who they view as outside of the mainstream or somehow opposed to the dominant Democrat consensus.
