in the spirit of this podcast because he presents different opposing viewpoints on an issue. And what I like is

then he weighs in and says what he thinks is right. So it's not just this relativistic exercise.

Well, I love it. I've, you know, before we even met, I'd been a reader of it since probably day one.

And I think this is such an interesting time for us to have a conversation. We're talking offline.

You and I were planning to make this a bit of a delayed episode, but we're putting this up today

because as we speak, there's a lot going on in the issues we were planning to talk about.

I would say there are two things that stood out to me today on Israel, which is where we'll start.

One is Biden spoke to donors today, I think, who's there today or yesterday,

saying that Netanyahu basically changes government, which is quite a thing to say.

I happen to agree with it, but it's rare for one country to advise another country on its politics like that. And when Netanyahu had weighed

in on American politics, when Obama was in office, that wasn't looked upon kindly. So that was,

that definitely signaled something.

And then also today, Netanyahu said he would block the Biden administration's post-war

plan to have the Palestinian Authority take over Gaza. So basically, he's pushing back against Biden.

Biden's pushing back against Netanyahu's government. Things don't look to be going so well between these two allies.
