says Israel has put forward saying it's time for the war to end. Donald Trump has

In his first major address outlining how the war in Gaza might end, President Biden has put forward what he says is a new Israeli proposal. The three-part plan would begin with a six-week

ceasefire in which the Israel Defence Forces, or IDF, would withdraw from populated areas of

Gaza.

There would also be a surge of humanitarian aid

as was an exchange of some hostages for Palestinian prisoners.

The deal would eventually lead to a permanent cessation of hostilities and a major

reconstruction plan for Gaza. Mr Biden urged Hamas to accept the deal.
