You know, it's been axiomatic for, I don't know, 20 years now or something like that.

The Democratic Party is deeply concerned about the lack of representation in our Congress

and as part of our federal makeup in terms of our states with the 600,000 or so residents

of the District of Columbia who are being taxed without representation and being denied

their proper place in the firmament of the states should be if the 51st state.

It's in the Democratic platform.

Uh, and, uh, and DC should be in charge of its own destiny.

Apparently, until the mayor of Chicago is voted out in a primary because of crime issues.
