Electors in all 50 states and the District of Columbia gathered to cast their votes and affirmed Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States. The states Biden won and Trump challenged—Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin—all cast their electoral votes for the president-elect. Biden declared it’s time to “turn the page. To unite. To heal” in a speech to the nation. George Conway is a conservative lawyer and co-founder of the Lincoln Project. He’s been an outspoken critic of President Trump and he tells Anderson Cooper that Trump is delusional for not accepting the election results and is basically running “a scam on the American people.” Plus, early voting is underway in Georgia for the two critical Senate runoffs that will determine the balance of power in Congress. Biden is set to campaign for the Democratic candidates, Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock. Many have credited Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia State Representative, for helping Biden become the first Democrat to win the state in nearly three decades. She joins AC360 to react to Biden securing the electoral college votes and says it was a “thrilling relief” and it’s disappointing the President is trying to undermine the integrity of the vote. 0:10.1	ratified his victory under threats of violence in some states. The outgoing president refusing
0:15.2	to concede despite new court losses and Friday Supreme Court rejection. Americans start receiving
0:20.8	COVID vaccinations as deaths in this country exceed 300,000.

0:58.3	official, casting 306 votes for him and 232 for the president. It was pro-forma, but it
1:04.8	was certainly not normal. As Michigan's electors met, the state capital was closed to the public
1:09.2	and ringed with security due to threats of violence.
1:12.4	Our zone as electors had to meet at an undisclosed location. Again, because of concerns about
1:16.7	their security, the country truly does need to heal in more ways than one. COVID vaccinations,
1:23.9	as you see, began today in the U.S. health care workers getting the first dose of the newly
1:29.2	approved Pfizer vaccine. Still, any hope was tempered by the reality that more than 300,000
1:34.6	Americans have now died of the virus. Many of them nurses and doctors, EMTs and hospital
1:39.9	workers. The president showing no signs of acknowledging their sacrifices or honoring
1:44.8	their lives. Instead, his side show continues. And that is what it is, a side show and a sad
1:50.2	one at that.
