Summary
Gordon Chang says this is one of the most dangerous periods in history and there’s a lack of appreciation of that in the U.S., not only in the Biden Administration but across the political spectrum. Tony says the Russians have said they will not lose the Ukraine war and he believes that’s a dog whistle for saying they will use nuclear weapons. Shaffer cites a Daily Telegraph article published just before Biden’s NATO trip titled, “Here Comes Biden, the World’s Worst Diplomat.” The article warns of Biden’s well-earned reputation of being a crude, narcissistic politician who exudes incredible arrogance with limited understanding of many foreign policy issues. Gordon says Biden hasn’t imposed costs on China for supplying lethal aid to Russia. Biden had promised such aid would be a red line but China ignored him. Now China knows Biden’s warnings on Ukraine are hollow. Biden’s failure to impose those warnings are extremely dangerous and anything can happen.
