Summary

President Donald Trump still refuses to concede and continues to push baseless conspiracy theories about the recent presidential election. United States President Elect Joe Biden says that President Trump and the GOP are refusing to allow the transition is "more embarrassing than debilitating" to the country. Biden also says that it is a shame "if it has to wait until January 20 to actually become operational... but maybe that's the only way to get it done." Biden is "hopeful" that Trump will be "more enlightened" by inauguration day.  The United States inches towards 247,000 covid deaths and tops 11 million covid cases. Also, the United States sees its 13th consecutive day of more than 100,000 covid cases.  Biden says "there's nothing macho about not wearing a mask" while speaking at a public event. He also urges that people limit the number of attendees at Thanksgiving gatherings, with social distancing and masks. Dr. Fauci says "the virus is not going to call a time-out" first. A Trump adviser says that Michigan should "rise up" against covid restrictions after the Michigan governor announced the three week order.  Sources say that the United States military is anticipating Trump's order to plan for troop withdrawals from Afghanistan and Iraq.  To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
