On Friday, President Biden made good on a campaign pledge that he never should have made in

the first place.

And in fact, when he made the pledge, I criticized him then and I'm criticizing him again today

by naming Katanzi Brown Jackson as his nominee to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court

Court, left by the retiring Stephen Breyer.

Now the reason that I say that he never should have made this promise is because Biden

promised voters that his first Supreme Court appointment would be a black woman.

Now you don't want to go out and say that because the minute you say that, you are admitting

in advance that you are going to be discriminating based on gender and based on ethnicity.

Now if the whole idea is to have a colorblind society where people are judged by the content

of their character, right, they're going to be judged by their qualifications regardless

of their gender, of their race, or their sexual orientation, if you come out and say when

I have to nominate a Supreme Court justice, basically when I have to hire somebody to fill

a vacancy on the Supreme Court, I'm going to hire a black woman.
