Hey, we're very glad you're with us for the Friday edition of the Three Martini Lunch.

We do not have a good Martini for you today, although we will be saying a lot of wonderful

things about some fantastic heroes at the end of today's podcast, but we start gym with

where a lot of people reacting very negatively to yesterday's speech from Joe Biden from

the White House talking about new COVID policies.

And we were a little bit off yesterday.

We said it was basically the same policy and he's just going to try to put a new window

dressing on it.

But that's not what we got because we got a little bit of a foretaste in the briefing

when a reporter just happened to come up with the idea that maybe the Department of Labor

could put mandates on private businesses on Jen Saki gives you a little smirk and says

stay tuned.

So clearly, that question wasn't planted in the briefing room at all and very much on

schedule.

Joe Biden comes out, does what we said he would do, putting the vaccine mandate on all federal

employees and contractors, no testing option.

You have to be vaccinated.

And then he goes and does the Department of Labor rule, which says that any business over

100 employees has to have everybody vaccinated or test once a week.
