We just wrapped up this morning's Meet the Press.

I had an exclusive interview with the Secretary of State, Tony Blinken.

I also spoke with Arkansas Governor, Republican Asa Hutchinson, two very different topics for

what it's worth.

We started Secretary Blinken because we did take a tour of the world of sorts, but we spent

a line share of our time on vaccine diplomacy, the issue of vaccine inequity around the world.

When it comes to vaccinations, the US is far ahead of most countries in the world.

We've already got more than 20% of our population vaccinated.

And in fact, some aid groups believe this is the time we need to start at least giving

say 5% of our doses to more poor nations who are struggling.

And if you look, and that, look, there is a balance here.

We all got to start vaccinating in some ways together if we're going to beat back these

variants, if we have hot spots that continue for a year or so, it doesn't matter how well

we've vaccinated, they're going to variance will show up.

That'll break through our vaccine.

So there is a scientific reason for this too, but you can hear, in Secretary Blinken,

on one hand, he accepts the fact that America is going to be largely responsible for helping

to vaccinate the world on one hand.

On the other hand, you can hear in his voice, and I've heard this from other Biden folks,

they don't want to get caught in a situation where it looks like a vaccine that was, that

an American needs is somehow not there because we sent it overseas.
