It's being called one of the highest-stakes conversations President Biden has had since

he moved into the White House. He has a video meeting today with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This comes as the American intelligence community is warning Russia is preparing

to invade Ukraine and American ally as soon as next month.

According to their intelligence, Russian forces have surrounded Ukraine on three sides,

with up to 100,000 troops, and they've stepped up a cyber and disinformation campaign

that takes aim at Ukraine's government.

So today, Biden administration officials tell news outlets like the New York Times

the President is hoping to convince Putin and invasion would not be worth it.
