Now, at first, he was supposed to go from there to other meetings in Asia, but with no

deal in sight with House Republicans over the impending debt ceiling Biden switched up

his itinerary.

However, I'm cutting my trip short.

I'm postponing the Australia portion of the trip and I've stopped it up in New Guinea

in order to be back for the final negotiations with congressional leaders.
