all right. We're live. Welcome back to the loopcast. Apologies for being a few minutes late. We got

some tech issues going on. But today, joined by me and Josh. I might have buried the lead in the

title, but hopefully we'll be joined by a very special guest coming later. But today, I'm with

Josh right now. And it is actually a feast day. St. Fidelis's Feast Day. If you guys pay attention till the end of the show,

that is someone I do pray to for this show at the end of every show. So, Josh, why is St. Fidelis

significant to you and Catholic Vote? Well, when we started this organization back in 2005,

we did not actually have Catholic Vote as the name. We didn't have the website,

CatholicVote.org, at all, actually. And that's another whole funny story. But so we had to come up

with a name for our organization. And while one of our cohorts, Joe was at Mass, he heard, you know,

Adeste Fidelis, and he's like, Fidelis, Fidelis,

that's totally what we are. We are the faithful. And so that became the first name of our organization.

And, you know, so we took St. Fidelis as a patron. And I mean, I'm a big fan. You know, you learn more about the Saints' life,

but like he's got this memorable quote. We just had it. We put it in the loop this morning. I

thought it was very well done. It shows a image of the Crown of Thorns. And it says,

woe to me, if I should prove myself but a half-hearted

soldier in the service of my thorn crowned captain that's a fidelis quote that's st fidelis right there

so i think most people probably don't know who he is but have heard that quote i've definitely

heard that's pretty amazing quote.

I mean, it's great.

And so he was a lawyer who's like the poor man's lawyer, and he, you know,

dedicated himself to helping other people.

And then he, then he entered religious life.
