3:05pm- On Monday, the office of Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas announced: “The Secretary of Homeland Security has determined pursuant to law, that it is necessary to waive certain laws, regulations, and other legal requirements in order to ensure the expeditious construction of barriers and roads in the vicinity of the international land border in Starr County, Texas.” Despite his administration’s determination that a border wall is necessary to help stifle unlawful migration, President Joe Biden told members of the press that he does not believe that border walls are effective.

3:15pm- According to a report from NorthJersey.com, Nadine Arslanian—the wife of Senator Robert Menendez (R-NJ) who was recently indicted in a bribery scheme—was involved in a fatal car accident in December 2018. Katie Sobko, Ashley Balcerzak, and Kristie Cattafi write: “A month after the crash, according to an indictment brought by the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, Arslanian was texting Wael Hana, an Egyptian American businessman also indicted in the bribery scheme, about her lack of car. 3:40pm- During her press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked how many times Commander—President Joe Biden’s dog accused of routinely biting staff—has bitten the Bidens. Jean-Pierre refused to answer. The dog is no longer living at the White House.

4:05pm- According to William M. Arkin of Newsweek, “The federal government believes that the threat of violence and major civil disturbances around the 2024 U.S. presidential election is so great that it has quietly created a new category of extremists that it seeks to track and counter: Donald Trump's army of MAGA followers. 4:35pm- According to a new Suffolk University/Boston Globe/USA Today poll, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley has surpassed Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary 19% to 10%—however, former president Donald Trump still leads the poll with a massive 48%.

4:40pm- While appearing on Fox News with Laura Ingraham, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) emphatically stated that the American people are disgusted with billions of taxpayer dollars being sent to Ukraine while there are numerous issues to address domestically.

4:55pm- On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies knocked-off the Miami Marlins—winning the series 2-0. They’ll now face the Atlanta Braves in a five-game series.

6:10pm- Speaking at the annual Conservative Party conference, U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said: "We should not get bullied into believing that people can be any sex they want to be. They can't. A man is a man, and a woman is a woman, that's just common sense."

6:20pm- Social media influencer “Meatball” was arrested for her participation in wide-spread looting in Philadelphia. Dayja “Meatball” Blackwell, who has nearly 500,000 followers on TikTok, was charged with 6 felonies. She is now selling mugshot t-shirts for $35 to $45 with the hashtag: “#FreeMeatball”.

6:25pm- Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Steve Scalise (R-LA) have both announced their intention to openly contend for Speaker of the House. According to Audrey Fahlberg of National Review, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) may be the next Speaker of the House. Fahlberg writes: “With the House speakership hanging in limbo after Kevin McCarthy’s ouster Monday evening, allies of the former speaker say House Majority Leader Steve Scalise currently has the clearest path to the speakership as he continues to gauge support for his newly announced bid.
