0:33.2	at the University of Southern California. I will soon be joined by our co-director, Mike Murphy.
0:39.5	The title of our program, the first of this semester, is Biden, 2021 and beyond, but so much has
0:45.8	happened in the last month that I suspect that will range over a number of topics. We're very
0:52.2	proud of our fellows program at the center, and I'm especially
0:56.0	proud of the fellows that we have for this semester, and they're going to be in conversation with us
1:01.8	here today. Let me introduce the fellows. Barbara Comstock was elected to Congress in 2014
1:08.4	from Virginia's 10th Congressional District, served two terms,
1:13.6	previously was a strategic advisor to both Mitt Romney and George W. Bush, and her fellow's class
1:19.9	will be a woman in the arena from intern to Congresswoman.
1:23.9	Shaniqua McClendon is the political director for Crooked Media, where she leaves their political strategy and civic engagement program.
1:31.7	Prior to crooked media, she served on Capitol Hill as a policy advisor to Senator Kay Hagan and a legislative director to Congresswoman Alma Adams.
1:41.7	She's going to be teaching, of course, on political disruptors.
1:45.6	Todd Purdom was 23 years at the New York Times, one of the most important political reporters
1:51.9	in the country. He now writes for publications like the Atlantic Politico and Vanity Fair.
1:58.9	He also, I should tell you, has written a very wonderful book called
2:02.7	an idea whose time has come about the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and a book about
2:09.1	Rogers and Hammerstein, the great composers of musicals in 20th century America, called
