life. So in ministry, I find that when it's done with the grace, the love, and the compassion,

and the firmness that the scripture does have, that's not to say that there's not a place for

principled stands and firmness. We preach strongly. We preach boldly without fear. And we will stand before a great white throne. We will

give account of the decisions we made in this life. And you can become so open-minded,

the old-timer said, that your brains fall out. You can get to where you don't believe anything,

and you never preach anything. And so people have no idea what you believe. They can go to where you don't believe anything and you never preach anything.

And so people have no idea what you believe. They can go to a church for years and have no idea where you stand on things in the Word of God. And listen, the world is not bashful about

where they stand and the church does need to send a clear message. So it is this balance of

strength and grace, judgment and mercy that we bring into our

lives. And the Bible says in that coming together, there will be righteousness, there will be

peace, there will be judgment and mercy. And at the end of the day,

when I make my decisions, I want mercy to define me. I want it to be mercy that defines me rather

than judgment. It doesn't negate judgment. It doesn't subordinate judgment, but it did say

mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

And if I make a mistake or if I have to make a judgment call and there's,

you have to make a stand on something, I would rather err on the side of mercy so that people could live. And I'm grateful

that God had mercy in my life and was gracious and was kind. Some of the greatest Christians

I know were very, they were very patient, they were very kind and gracious. And I'm thankful for that.

I think, I believe with all my heart, God is that way. You're alive right now. I'm alive right now. And I don't deserve it, but it's by God's grace and His mercy that I'm alive. It's true in relationships. I want to stand in an even place in my relationships with my spouse, with my wife. My wife knows me better than anybody. Sometimes she knows me better than myself. And I'll tell her, I'm going to go do this and so and thus and so, and she'll smile and she'll say, let me tell you what you're going to do. You're going to do, da, da, da, da. And she'll list out these things. And I'll say, I'm not that. And I'm getting dignite.

And so help me, I can't tell you the amount of time she was dead right.
