Hey y'all in script listeners, we've got some exciting news here. We're launching a new podcast called The Biblical World.

We've got a great team of co-hosts, including Chris McKinney, Lynn Koic, Kyle Kimer, Oliver Hersey, Mary Buck, and Mark Janssen.

You might know some or none of them, but you'll get to know them more in the coming weeks. They all share a

passion for the world of the Bible. It's history, archaeology, culture, geography, you name it.

I'm really thrilled to have this team of experts and a great lineup of episodes that feature

topics like the Egyptian temples at Karnak, the latest archaeological finds in Israel,

views on the Exodus, the history of the Barcocca Revolt, the archaeology of Easter,

the Greco-Roman world of the New Testament, and much more.

We're planning some really creative episodes as well.

I got into biblical studies because I went to Israel as an

undergrad back in 1999 and spent some time in the classroom there, but also spent time traipsing

around Israel, visiting archaeological sites, learning the lay of the land, its geography and its

culture, and it's really contagious.

And I feel like OnScript Podcast is a way of accessing the exciting world of the classroom

that is part of the academic experience, and we really try to bring you into that.

But I also have always felt the need to bring listeners into the world of the

land of the Bible as well. And that's what this podcast is really designed to do. As one of my

profs in Israel put it, once those rocks of Israel getting your shoes, they're hard to get out.

And I've experienced that.

And I wanted for a long time to start a podcast to help listeners really enter the world

of the Bible with people who have dedicated themselves to that pursuit,

either because they're actual archaeologists or they're involved at the scholarly level
