Summary

Pastor Stacie Wood concludes the Fight For Your Family series with a message on how God designed every person and role within the family to reflect his goodness and order. Through Scripture, she shows that whether single, married, a parent, or a child, each of us has been given a distinct role and calling to follow God with faith and obedience. Singles are called to live with focus and undivided devotion to the Lord. Husbands are called to lead with love and take responsibility for their homes. Wives are called to build up with respect and strength. Parents are called to love God deeply, lead their families intentionally, and reclaim their God given authority. Children are called to obey and honor their parents with humility. When each of us lives according to God’s design, he brings blessing, unity, and promise to our homes.

of Bible. So did you guys come ready for the Bible today? I hope so. Ready or not, that's what you're going to get,

0:56.3

okay? The last few weeks, we have been talking about fighting for your family, and we've used

1:03.8

this language of war because we have a very real enemy that we are fighting against, an enemy that is ruthless, and he's coming

1:12.7

after to destroy our families. The Bible says that we have this enemy, the devil, and he prowls

1:19.1

around like a roaring lion seeking for those that he can devour. So he is a ruthless enemy,

1:26.2

and this, he would love for you to think

1:29.4

that it's actually your spouse who is your enemy.

1:33.4

And he'd love for you to think that it's,

1:35.1

it's your teenager that is your enemy.

1:38.4

But they are not your enemy.

1:39.9

And what happens is that sometimes we can start

1:42.8

fighting against our families instead of fighting

1:46.7

for our families. And today we need to remember who our real enemy is and be ready to fight

1:53.4

against him. So I'm just going to tell you up front that a lot of what I'm going to say today

1:58.5

is going to fly in the face of popular opinion.

2:02.5

Okay? And there might be a moment in this message where you're like, that girl is so out of

2:08.3

touch with reality. Like that's just not how it works. But what I'm hoping to do today is to bring

2:15.2

us back to something that is more real than anything that this world is
