| 0:00.0 | Hey guys, Joshua Lewis here with Remnant Radio, and I'll tell you about Rimcon this spring in San Diego, California. |
| 0:06.8 | The dates are February 5th through the 7th, and the subject of the conference is growing in the Gifts of the Spirit. |
| 0:12.3 | You can join us there in person or via live stream, and what you're going to get out of that conference is some serious theological training on the gifts of the Spirit. |
| 0:22.6 | What are they? How do they operate? |
| 0:28.1 | There's also going to be opportunities to break out and practice spiritual gifts in a kind of biblical, |
| 0:33.9 | safe, and orderly way. We've got lectures from myself, Michael Miller, Michael Roundtry, John Mark Baker, from the Minor Prophets, and Dr. Sam Storms. So if you're looking to move beyond just the theoretical and learning the theology of spiritual |
| 0:41.6 | guess, but you're actually wanting to start practicing them for yourself, I'd encourage |
| 0:45.7 | you to come out and hang out with us February 5th through the 7th there in San Diego, California. |
| 0:52.5 | Before we get too far into the conversation, tell us a little bit about yourself in your ministry for people out there who might not know you. Yeah, which is everybody, right? How about that? My name is Todd Wagner. I hang out here at Watermark Community Church where we are today. You were nice enough to come over. And so, man, we're just sitting, we're going to talk about the Lord and Scripture. So watermarks of church in Dallas, Texas. |
| 1:11.7 | Been going on around 19, almost 20 years, me and just a small group of friends. We're just kind of sick and tired of what we saw not happening in the church. And so rather than curse the darkness, we decided to kind of, you know, really honestly light a candle a little bit. I was not a church guy, which means I was outside of the scope of what Jesus said is what he wanted me to be. |
| 1:33.3 | Yeah. So I kind of came to, well, I didn't kind of. I did. I came to Christ through parochurch ministries. I was a parochurch guy because that's where I saw God at work. And that's just because I'd never run into biblical Christians who had really gathered underneath the scriptures and the guidance of the Spirit of God in a way that I saw what I see when I open up the scriptures. |
| 1:55.4 | And so, you know, we finally, I think, paid enough attention to what God's word said that we listened to the Lord. |
| 2:01.4 | We said, well, why don't you see what you can do about it? So did you grow up in the Metroplex here? I've been in Dallas. I used, no, I saw I was born in Pennsylvania, kind of called Redding. Okay. So if you play Monopoly, you've taken a ride on the Reading Railroad. It's not Reading, Josh, it's Redding. The Redding Road, that's where I was born. |
| 2:19.1 | And so when I was five, my dad jerked us out of a kind of a steel mill family, moved us to the Midwest. I grew up really all through then elementary school and high school in St. Louis, went to Missouri. And while I was there, I bumped into some folks who worked at a place called Canter Cut Camps. |
| 2:38.4 | So I hung out at Canter Cut Camps for a better part of 10 years, out of college full time, |
| 2:41.2 | and the better part of all four years when I was in it. |
| 2:45.2 | And the Lord used that to kind of direct me away from where I was headed, |
| 2:49.4 | which was to law school to as Christ got more and more hold of my heart, it was just obvious to me that the way he was |
| 2:53.4 | going to design me was to be used in, I guess, I don't want to say a full-time ministry context, |
| 2:59.6 | because I could be a lawyer in a full-time ministry context. |
| 3:02.1 | But in a way that wasn't maybe law wasn't going to be a part of my story, business, |
| 3:07.2 | entrepreneurship wasn't going to be a part of my story or business entrepreneurship wasn't |
