Welcome to the 10-minute Bible Hour Podcast.

0:04.1

Right now we're going through the entire Bible to understand it is one big cohesive story.

0:08.5

We're covering one book each day, and this one's about Deuteronomy.

0:17.8

Hey my friends, it's Matt, this is the 10-minute Bible Hour Podcast.

0:20.6

Today we're on the fifth book of the Bible.

0:22.6

This is the last book of the opening chunk of the Bible that Christians call the Pentateuch,

0:26.8

called the Torah, and all of this is written by Moses, but we get a very different version of

0:32.8

Moses in all of them. And now that we're into the book of Deuteronomy, we are getting old man

1:21.0

and tribes and stuff into our hands. And then we're going to have the land that was promised

1:25.0

to Abraham. This is so exciting. But the people despite all they've seen, despite the fact that

1:30.5

they're literally being led by like the visible presence of God with a cloud in the book of Numbers,

1:35.8

they're just not up for it. They don't have the heart for it. And they're really complaining.

1:39.7

And in Numbers 14, the people decide, now we got a deposed Moses, this is a wrong leadership,

1:44.5

we're not going in and taking the land. We don't have any plan B. I don't know what we're going to do
