0:54.1	trauma in the Hebrew Bible with Alexiana Frye,
0:58.0	who is currently a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen, and she's researching all things Hebrew Bible slash Old Testament, trauma, gender, and migration.
1:09.0	And so we talked about how Alexiana brings some of her own experiences into discussing
1:15.3	trauma and gender and to a certain extent migration as well, and how coming to terms with
1:22.4	those things can impact our understanding of biblical texts and be more sensitive, I think, Cynthia, to what
1:29.2	those biblical texts can do to people who read them who have been traumatized for various
1:35.8	reasons. And it gets down to, for me, really the ethics of the Bible and what it means to
1:44.1	understand things and to communicate them,
1:46.4	I think, sensitively to people. So I certainly learned a lot. I don't think about this issue
1:52.4	very much. And so I learned a lot from listening to Luxiana talk about these things.
