Safa is an associate professor of Old Testament at Union Presbyterian Seminary,

and that added a particular flavor and perspective to the Book of Ezekiel that I found fascinating and very helpful.

He's written three books, including Egypt as a monster in the Book of Ezekiel,

a commentary on Ezekiel in the Arabic contemporary commentary,

and intercultural church, a biblical vision for an age of migration.

One of the really interesting things about Ezekiel,

where holiness, to be a holy people, is not separated from doing justice.

And these two categories that sometimes because of our different theological backgrounds,

we kind of pivot them against each other.

They are integrated in the prophetic work of Ezekiel.

And sometimes to be honest, it makes me think that to be holy as a people of God is to actually do justice.
