Bangar Fort is not for the faint-hearted.

In fact, visitors are not allowed to enter the site between sunset and sunrise.

I have visited the fort at night. We were a group of friends and were too excited about it and had heard it was the second most haunted place in the world. Anyway, we headed for Bangor around noon from

Guragoon and reached there by the evening. As it got dark, we reached the fort and found some dead cats on the way.

It was enough to scare us.

On arriving, we bribed the gatekeeper with a handsome amount of money and maybe a few drinks too,

and he allowed us to stay in the rooms above

the temple. The scary part was yet to come. At 6pm in the evening, the gates of the fort were

closed and the gatekeeper came to us as he wanted to have a smoke. We asked him to tell us about the story of the fort.
