representatives and senators who were engaged in deeply important conservation matters.

I know we've avoided politics a lot of times or we don't do too much politics but I guess I go with the old saying

you know you may not be interested in politics but politics is interested in you.

So much of what we love and depend on as outdoors men and

women in America today is for better or worse entangled with politics and it's a

participatory democracy or participatory Democratic Republic and that means that we have to know enough to participate.

And in a sense, I guess we're all chained to this wheel and we all got a pull and the more we know
