morning August 17th. Really the earth has been shaken to its core by this huge

monumental move by the Eagles and obviously I say some of that and jests but this is significant so I thought it would be some fun to fire up an emergency solo podcast because all the other

bgien radio guys were understandably too busy on a Saturday to talk about the eagle signing

Josh McCown. 40 year old Josh McCown, I should note who came out of retirement to sign a one-year deal with the Eagles.

I'll get into the contract terms here a little bit later.

I just want to set this up.

Obviously, the Eagles were in a position where they needed to do something at quarterback, at least I felt like.

You had Nate Sudfeld go down with a broken wrist. You had Cody Kessler suffer a concussion injury.

Now, I thought the Eagles were kind of just going to sign a guy like

Louise Perez or maybe even Matt McLoyne which would have been terrible and I would have hated that but I still

would have understood it because I thought the Eagles might sign someone to kind of just help them fill some reps, both in preseason games and training camp as well.
