What is in bulk? In bulk is an ancient Celtic fire festival, traditionally celebrated around February,

first, second, whatever it is, you know, whenever it shows up there.

Exactly halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.

So there's another thing.

Like the pagan celebrated something pretty much almost every month, you know what I mean?

When you look at it it there's always something to

observe and with that they are um knowing when the seasons are you know when to do things and all

this kind of stuff and that's for survival honestly so so yeah it's interesting that it is

right between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. The word in bulk likely comes from old Irish

I am bald, meaning in the belly. This refers to seeds in the belly of the earth, new life stirring beneath frost, growth that has begun through unseen.

In bulk was not about celebrating spring, because it's not spring yet, obviously.

It was about trusting the return of life before evidence appeared.

So that's kind of interesting.

The key themes of in bulk include fire returning, milk flowing again as animals lactate, purification and cleansing, renewal and quiet hope. In bulk is the moment when inner ignition begins.
