Over the past couple years, we've really been digging deep on ways uniquely we can minister and really be ministered to, and that's through music. And before we play today's

song, I want to speak this over you. It's important to grow root and not so much followers.

So I want to tell you this. We live in a world that's obsessed with fame, but the kingdom celebrates

faith. Faith. That's what it's all about. We rather be rich in God

than famous and a crazy wealthy, right? Crazy rich in this world, in the eyes of the world.

There's nothing wrong with fame or money, but it can't have us. And I think it's super important.

God isn't looking for the person who wants the platform.

He's looking for someone who wants to be faithful in the calling that he has for them and who wants

to stay planted in him, right? Connected to the vine, growing deep roots. And that's what good soil is all

about, allowing God to minister to us through the

power of His word, through worship, through songs and community. I think it's super important that

we don't lose sight of the root and getting really deep, deeply established in God,

established in this love.

Just like the book of Ephesians talks to us about, I love the aspect of being rooted in God

because when we are rooted in God, the book of Galatians talks about in due season,

we'll reap a harvest if we faint not. I love that.

And David wasn't crowned in front of crowds.

He was anointed in private.

Joseph dreamed, but he didn't lose sight of what, you know, the end result was that he

was in the palace, but he never lost sight of the pit where he came from and what he experienced and how he experienced God.

And Jesus, let's think about that.

He turned down the spotlight of the world and he chose the cross to give us salvation for anyone who chooses to believe.
