If you really value what your children learn, you will continue teaching them after school.

Because when you look at the curriculum nowadays, now that you're awake, your eyes are open to certain things.

You're just like, damn, how long are they going to continue these lives? Dead ass. Just saying. One, two, three. It all started with real talk, unfiltered, honest, and straight from the heart. Since then, we've gone on to become Webby Award-winning podcasters in New York Times, best-selling authors. Deadass was more than a podcast for us. It was about our growth.

A place where we could be vulnerable, be raw.

Of course, but most importantly, be us.

We didn't even have any children yet.

Okay. We only had God god children and one of our godsons was doing a story on christopher columbus and we were there you remember this and he was like

uncle deval do you know about christopher columbus because he was learning in school it's elementary school i said yes doVal, do you know about Christopher Columbus? Because he was learning in school, it was elementary school. I said, yes. Do you know about Christopher Columbus? He said yes. And he told me the story about the Pilgrims and how they shared food and the Indians. And the Indians and all of these things. And I said, you know what, Nick? You know what else Christopher Columbus did to the Indians? He was like, what? I said he murked them. And you remember Christina was like, DeVal? And I was just like, what? Yeah. He murked them. Christopher Columbus was not a nice guy that came over here to share food. that that. Share food and knowledge.

And knowledge with the natives here.

And religion.

That's not what he came to do.
