Tell me about yourself. Where were you born? What were you like as a kid?

I was born in Gresham, Oregon, which is a town close enough to Portland that I like knew what healthy food was.

But as a kid, I was pretty immediately like sense my earliest memory entranced by ballet and dance and my parents

rented a Balanchine version of Sleeping Beauty from the library and it's the legend is told that it's the first time I stopped crying.

Oh. And then they put me in dance school and I was just obsessed with dance. That's my main memory of my childhood.

But I was also really funny, and I had this dramatic contrast

between my dance costume and my life costume. I would always wear my brother's clothes like big old

t-shirts and spandex shorts and I wear my hair kind of like this but more intensely

slick back and I made more intensely slicked back.

And I made kids at church call me broccoli. Yeah, I don't know.

I was like, I was a nice guy. I was a cool kid and I loved I loved dancing.
