Hello, this is a great show because it shows the demise of the nuclear power nightmare and the rise of

solar energy. Well you've just given away my entire opening Ralph. That's all right, it bears repeating.

The theme of today's show is Energy, the good kind and the bad kind.

And the good kind is solar. We will be talking to long time solar power

expert Scott Schallar who in addition to being a leader in the field put his money

where his mouth was by designing and building his own zero energy home and office using a whole array of solar energy technologies.

We're going to hear all about that.

We're also going to talk about the bad kind of energy, nuclear power. This is a theme we have hit in a number of

occasions with guests such as former head of the Tennessee Valley Authority, David Freeman,

and former Nuclear Regulatory Commissioner Peter Bradford as well as with filmmaker Ivy Miropol.

And today we find yet another angle on this issue with Paul Gunter, who is one of the directors of the group Beyond Nuclear.
