I am a 28 year old Mohawk, two-spirits queer trans woman.

Whoa, I can hear you thinking, what's going on?

Well, Alock and kiley both identify as

non-binary that's their gender identity not their physical sex the gender binary the gender binary refers to the idea there are only two genders, male and female.

People who are non-binary feel they

also might define themselves as transgender.

And a lock and kiley aren't just lonely voices in the wilderness.

I am gender queer or non-binary or agender.

I move through the world as myself.

I identify as a non-binary trans person.

I identify as intersex, queer.

The language can feel overwhelming.

Queer, gender queer, gender fluid, gender variant, third gender,

gender neutral. All of these are ways non-binary people describe themselves.
