Samson will always be remembered for his haircut.

That was expensive haircut. That cost him everything.

But he will always be remembered for his immoral lifestyle.

I was reading in my daily chronological Bible, which I read every year, and I was reading this week,

1 Corinthians chapter 10, where the Apostle Paul has

been warning, has been saying that God's judgment on his people in the Old Testament were

there to remind us, to warn us that we in the New Testament must take heed and not fall in

the same traps that they fill into.

In fact, in that same passage, chapter 10, verse 12, he said,

therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he falls.

The whole of Samson's life ought to serve as a warning to all of us.

It certainly ought to be Ex exhibit A, as we train the

next generation, to stand up and to never forget, not to develop an amnesia, certain spiritual

amnesia, to know that as they face greater and new temptations, that God is the same God who can deliver them and can

strengthen them, and as they stand with him, he will give them victory.

And whenever I hear of somebody fallen, I natural respond by the words that attributed to Wesley, although it goes back to a Puritan

in the 1500s, where he said, but for the grace of God, there go I.

But I want to tell you a few things about temptations, that I learned along the way,

and I trust that God will use that to teach you, to encourage you, to challenge you, to motivate you.

If you're a genuine believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, Satan and his demons will tempt you.

Satan and his demons will always try to tempt you.

They are forever setting up their traps for all of us.
