On the Docket this week, Kanye’s Yeezy fashion brand sues a summer intern for posts on Instagram. And speaking of social media, we discuss the audacity of the Trump fueled mob boasting of their crimes in posts and online video related to the Capitol insurrection January 6th. So far charges are minor and more serious are likely to come. But will there also be accountability from within the Congressional ranks and Capitol Police for complicity or accessory to these crimes? ProPublica reported that Black Capitol Police warned about racist officers in their midst for years prior to the Jan. 6th insurrection. And The Washington Post reports that court documents reveal self-styled (and White) militia members planned on storming the U.S. Capitol days in advance of the Jan. 6th attack.
At last, there are criminal charges in Dustin’s hometown of Flint, Michigan related to the criminal mishandling of the drinking water supply that plagued the citizens of Flint, a majority Black community, and ultimately caused the death of twelve people.
