What's up guys? Today on Sports Spectrum, I really enjoyed talking to Belmont Betty. Betty Wiseman,

longtime Belmont University women's basketball coach. She's been active in Belmont Athletics for five

decades. She arrived on Belmont's campus in 1961, and she's still pouring into those young

people and those athletes today in 2003. Belmont Betty is 80 years old and a basketball

trailblazer. She actually started the basketball program and founded the program in 1968 at Belmont. And she's still there

today. Not only is she a Belmont Athletics Hall of Famer in 1981, she was inducted into the

Hall of Fame. She's a Tennessee Hall of Famer in 2004 was inducted into the Tennessee Hall of Fame. There's a lot of wisdom

in talking to Belmont Betty at 80 years old. And there's something special about talking to someone

who's lived a lot more life than you, who's loved sports, loves coaching, loves teaching,

but who sold out for the gospel.

And I think when you hear the story of Betty Wiseman, otherwise known as Belmont Betty,

you're going to be encouraged. You're going to want to hang out with her because I know I did.

When we were finished, I said, I want to come to Nashville and I want to hang out and spend some time with Betty Wiseman

and just listen to the stories, listen to the wisdom that she pours into so many.

And she shares a little bit of that today on Sports Spectrum.
