Summary

Betty May Ockerl is the author of the book, The Mysterious Lindsey Lights: One Family's True Encounters with Strange Lights in the Sky Near Lindsey, Wisconsin. Starting in 2004 Betty and her family began seing strange lights in the sky. The sightings continued, so Betty began documenting the sightings and researching the UFO phenomenon to find out more about them. She felt that the sightings were so mysterious and important that she decided to write a book about them, despite the ridcule she may face in her rural community. 0:57.0	except for maybe if you live in the Wisconsin area, because she was on the radio there.
1:00.8	And that is Betty May Oakville, and she is from Wisconsin, this really small rural town
1:10.4	in the middle of Wisconsin where there's lots of lakes and lots of hunting and that kind of thing.
1:15.8	And they have had these UFO sightings out there.
1:20.0	So her and her daughter had a sighting years ago.
1:24.1	And since then they've had several more.
1:26.2	She began to document them.
1:28.2	She talked to some authorities and did some investigating to try to figure out what was going on.
1:35.0	And although he was skeptical, her husband eventually also had a sighting.
1:40.0	So very interesting, and she decided to write a book about it.
1:43.3	So I thought that was kind of cool that she was bold enough to kind of document these UFO sightings and then write a book about it.
