It's it's we're slowly there. It doesn't I don't ever look at this and say that it feels like true football.

But it still feels like football. It's the appetizer if you will for for regular season football.

And you know how this goes right Jeremy. We can sit there and people get and I I've fallen victim to it.

There's always one or two preseason heroes with whether it's your team or another team in the division or just somewhere around the NFL.

Someone has a good enough preseason that is a national story. It's always important to temper expectations.

Don't get too high. Don't get too low with just about anything you hear coming out of these camps.

Because I can remember a couple of years ago when it was the beginning of the Patrick Mahomes era in Kansas City.

And he had like four straight interceptions in camp. But it was all over Twitter and people were like, oh no.

Yeah, you got rid of Alex Smith for this and that it seemed to work out okay. So there's a lot of overreaction and panic to a lot of things.

You see it doesn't mean that there aren't important things that you need to see.

But I try to at least temper my expectations a little bit when it comes to this point the preseason.

Oh, there's no question. We've already had it the Josh Jacob stuff with the Raiders and the Hall of Fame game.

Now obviously Gibson, which we'll talk about it's training camp is one of my least favorite things just because your defense is playing your offense and people celebrate anything that happens.

Could we do it the other way in the glass be half empty and say, wait a minute, your defense just gave up a touchdown.

Like I've never understood it where people start complaining about things like we were hearing about it here in Baltimore.

Kyle Hamilton's running one on one drills. You got your safety in one on one drills against an undrafted speedy free agent.

And he blows by him and people are like, oh, this is a bust pick. And I'm going, well, you guys let this play out.

They have it. It's not even seven on seven. We're sitting here talking about individual drills. It's crazy, man.

At this time of year, but we're that much closer to football.
