And NBA dot com can earlier this week, Mark Medina, who works for the league for NBA dot com, did his mid season award survey with quote unquote a select group of NBA beat reporters 30 in total.

And these are obviously anonymous, but 30 beat reporters from around the country. He did take special care to say to station to New York, to station didn't Los Angeles and the rest from throughout the country.

So 30 votes for all of these awards and we could get to the player stuff in a second. It's what they hit you with this, just because I know you had a pretty strong take on this starting in the off season really in the preseason.

They predicted the Eastern conference and Western conference champion who's going to play for the NBA finals and who would win the NBA championship. So they have the Boston Celtics winning the title, obviously winning the Eastern conference.

Ken, what did you think of this quote select group of NBA beat reporters choosing the Los Angeles clippers to represent the Western conference in the NBA finals before bowing out to the Boston Celtics in this particular survey.

I think the and the interesting thing, well, there were two interesting things right one is that the clippers got the most votes.

But the second one is that like nobody got a lot of votes, right? It was like really like what percent of the clippers gives like 30% or something the clippers got to win the Western conference.

It was like a really small number, which I think speaks to just obviously like how wide open the Western conferences right now, like do people really want to pick the warriors.

You know, when they're so bad on the road and bear in mind when this pull was taken curry hadn't come back yet. So like it was the absolute bottom of how the warriors were perceived.

I think Phoenix is like an a tailspin. Memphis is like starting to really put together great performances, but it's taking a while. Denver, who got the second most votes.

I think everyone is like let's see you could do it in the playoffs before we're really confident that that is possible.

So I think it's like anybody can be winning right now and I think it it's not necessarily predictive. I kind of more token as like all of us collectively the people who voted and all of us who watch were all sort of just like really puzzled about who kind of like the even like who the favorite should be.

I guess the warriors should be the favorite because they just haven't lost in the playoffs with this group of players together.

But you know, in the Western conference, I should say they haven't lost with this group of players together. There's there's a lot of questions health.

Clay in general as like a productive player. Their road record is abysmal. No one's ever won the title going sub 50% on the road.

So it's I don't really it's like I don't care that the clippers won, but I I think it's just it speaks to just like the parody in the Western conference that so many teams got votes and that there was like a basically a three way tie.

Hey, honestly, like just hearing you talk about that. I'm always excited and jacked up for the NBA playoffs. I know you are as well.

The Eastern conference is going to be a battle of the Titans. Obviously in the Western conference is going to be like a free for all where I guess one of a number of teams can potentially emerge.
