As we speak right now at this moment American-made warplanes are dropping American-made munitions

on Kurdish civilians in northern Syria and a bloodbath has apparently begun as a result of Donald Trump

according to the news reports the way this all started was Mr. Erdogan the

president of Turkey now you could say dictator now that he's taken

on all these powers to himself was so angry with Trump that he didn't have a one-on-one

meeting at the UN that he called up and started berating Trump. Trump apologized and groveled and offered him a visit to the White House.

And Erdogan said, that's not enough.

I want to be able to get those terrorists out of Northern Syria and southern Turkey and of course by terrorists he's

referring to the Kurds and so Trump greenlet this invasion which is happening right now

and the official word is that US forces have been told to stand down, allow the slaughter to proceed. On the line

with us is Dr. Edmond Garib. He's the adjunct professor of Middle Eastern

History and Politics at the School of International Service at American University.

He was the first Mustafa Barranzi scholar of Global Kurdish Studies at the Center

for Global Peace at American University and a professor of George Washington

University's Elliott School of International Affairs.

His books include the historical dictionary of Iraq, the Kurdish question in Iraq, and the

Kurdish nationalist movement and the war in the Gulf which

he co-authored with Maghidkaduri.
