Doug Henning, a 44 year old man living in Maine, has grown up all his life with loving parents who adopted him at a young

age, but like most adopted children he wanted to try and find his real dad.

I kind of get that.

I mean, like I didn't for a long time, I'm like if you had a loving family why but there's a part of you

that is just always searching my brother-in-law literally this weekend found out that who he thought

was his dad is not his dad. Uh-oh.

Found him when they did like a DNA test thing, like, you know, the 23 and me, and found out he had two

sisters and his dad lives like 30 minutes from him, never knew about him and wants to see him.

Wow! Like it's a Christmas miracle! That really is.

With the help of ancestry.com, Doug was able to do just that. He and his biological dad were able to connect through Zoom and phone calls, but finally

decided to meet in person. So when his dad's plane landed, Doug decided to surprise him by dressing as Buddy the Elf from the classic holiday film

Elf and reenact the scene where Buddy meets his own biological father. But you never never before. And now you found me, and you're here, I love you, I love you, I love you.

That is so great, like, I did it shows that he has a sense of humor, this kid at least.

Well, you say kid, he's 44 years old.

This 44 year old guy, kid.
