Jason of Boheka Pepper Hutten. We're talking about the soil mix for

growing peppers. Is there a specific soil mix that he recommends? And if so, what is it? And really, let's get a little deeper than that and think about why would it be this way? What do peppers need to grow, thrive, and survive that other plants don't or what's the difference

between the two?

Because you know, every plant's a little different.

Some things like a little more moisture, some things can survive in drier soil or different sort of soil

textures so let's go ahead and get into it with Jason.

and we are talking now about the soil mix.

So I know I have a few questions on this just myself,

and I know that a lot of people that are listening to this show always have questions about

soil mix and so what are you using because you're doing this on a commercial

scale what is your if you could create the perfect soil mix to grow peppers in what would be your recipe?

Well, that's kind of a loaded question.

A lot of people use a lot of different things you could ask a hundred different people what they use and you get a hundred different answers but

What we like to use is a good

Compost

That's that's kind of the main ingredient. I actually have a local nursery that has a great compost they get. I'm not exactly sure where but they get it. I'm not exactly sure where but they they get it and it's very loose

very rich dark soil and we mix this with topsoil that we buy at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I mean, that's basically the answer right there.

Mix it with some cow manure and we also like mushroom
